About Wicked

Independent by design.
Experienced where it matters.

Wicked helps Australian businesses turn what they do well into a clearer message, a stronger digital presence and a website they are proud to put in front of people.

A lot has changed. The job has not.

Make the business easier to understand, easier to trust and easier to choose.

Wicked Web Design began in Perth in 2009 and added a Melbourne base in 2013. The studio works from both cities today. Since then, the platforms, devices and marketing tools have changed repeatedly. The need for clear thinking and good design has not.

From local businesses to national brands, Wicked has worked across websites, ecommerce, search, campaigns and connected customer journeys. That broader experience helps us design the website around the real business, not around a narrow creative brief.

Wade, founder of Wicked Web Design, working on a laptop

Direct involvement. Clear accountability.

Wade started Wicked in Perth in 2009 and added the Melbourne base in 2013. He leads the strategy, content, design direction and the decisions that shape the finished website.

Clients work directly with Wade throughout the project. That close working relationship keeps communication clear and the important decisions connected to the people doing the work.

Direct, thoughtful and low on theatre.

You work with the people doing the thinking and making the work. Conversations stay practical, feedback stays useful and the important decisions do not disappear through layers of account management.

Three principles behind every project.

Clarity before cleverness

People should understand what the business does and why it matters before the design asks to be admired.

Character without clutter

Distinctive does not mean noisy. We look for the choices that belong to the business and remove what does not.

Useful after launch

The website needs to work for visitors and for the people responsible for running the business behind it.
